How It All Started 📖
In 2020, Groove’s co-founders Sruli Rapps, Josh Greene, and Tova Safra were were freelancing from home and were really missing the sense of community and camaraderie they felt back when they used to have teammates. Coffeeshops and physical coworking spaces simply weren’t delivering on the level of social interaction and accountability they needed to do their best work.
With community-oriented backgrounds that ranged from organizing music festivals and meditation groups, Josh, Sruli and Tova started to build an online community to help work feel more human.
They started Groove with the belief that living your best life is a team sport. It’s a community for you to accomplish your goals and build genuine friendships with like-minded people.
Those of us paving our own paths deserve to be surrounded by people who lift us up and help us feel those bursts of energy to keep going, every single day. 👏
Who We Are 🏄🏻♂️
How I get into the flow:
Clear my desk, put on some noise-canceling headphones, and listen to lo-fi beats like Lofi Girl on YouTube.
I’m a big fan of:
Being out in nature, reading biographies of creative/business leaders, and hiking with my wife and dog, Jasper.
What I do in Grooves:
I'm constantly pulled in lots of different directions in my work. Groove is sacred for the important deep work whether creative or strategic. My phone is on do not disturb!

How I get into the flow:
With creative work, I sit down and let my mind wander a bit and there it is. With other types of work, I start a Groove, or even watch a short film, or I’ll make a nice hot drink.
I’m a big fan of:
Long walks, yoga, cooking, and making art on themes of food and memory 🥭
What I do in Grooves:
I do a lot of art and design work in Grooves. It’s a good way to block time for those things without interruptions. I use Grooves for life-admin too.

How I get into the flow:
By making plans for the day with checkboxes I can tick off, listening to music, and by Grooving! (Seriously, I’m not just saying that...)
I’m a big fan of:
Working on my podcast, Babble on Talmud. Every day a new episode is released (over 7 years!)…I started in January 2020 and haven’t missed a day yet 💪
What I do in Grooves:
I build Groove in Groove 🤯 and spend a few Grooves a day preparing my podcast content.

How I get into the flow:
Light a candle, sit by a window, grab something yummy to sip on, write a to-do list, and jam out to a Groove playlist 🎶
I’m a big fan of:
Exploring the streets of NYC, listening to live music, reading outside, playing board games, and bringing people together.
What I do in Grooves:
I write my newsletter, reach out to Groovers, build experiments, and organize to-dos…all while in great company!
