About the team 👋

We are a small experienced team (WeWork, GoDaddy, Hometalk, Seth Godin’s Akimbo) Over the past year, our engineering team has built the initial MVP and we are now growing the team to build and enhance the first product to take to market. We are a 100% remote, completely distributed team spanning from LA to Tel Aviv. We deeply support people thriving in their work and lives wherever they might be. Commitment: 10-20 hours/week. $18/hour. Starting immediately, through end of 2022

Location: Fully remote. Must be able to work during a few overlapping hours with our team in the US Eastern time zone.

Summary of the role

We are looking for a Marketing Outreach Freelancer to help us get Groove in front of the right people as we launch publicly. This freelance project will focus on finding new watering holes where we can find awesome dreamers, doers, movers and shakers who could turn into Groovers; and then executing by reaching out to them via email or on social media. This person will be focused on initiatives related to the top-of-the-funnel (awareness and consideration). We’re looking for someone who is very detail-oriented and likes repetitive, measurable work. They’re a doer and work well on their own. They’re eager to see the impact they can make; they’ll use our dashboards to see the direct difference they’re making in growing the Groove community on a weekly basis.

This person will report to Brandy Cerne, Brand Strategist at Groove.

What you are going to be doing...

  1. Social media commenting: Embody our fun brand voice (with the help of our marketing team) to create new conversations about Groove in places like Medium, Twitter, Youtube, and LinkedIn. We aren’t a super active brand on social media. You can read more about why here, but this 1:1 social commenting is an important initiative to bring in new Groovers and meet them where they are.
  2. List building and email outreach: Discover solo workers, freelancers, influencers and more who might love and benefit from Groove and reach out to them 1:1 via email.
  3. Data analysis: On a weekly basis, analyze who’s turned into a Groover from your outreach efforts (you do not need to have a background in data for this—we’ll teach you!)
